The other day my roommate and person who joins me (on couches across the room from each other on a daily basis) in my love for Tim Riggins/Eric and Tami Taylor, dogs, The Gos, laziness and jokes posted this song on her facewall. You know how when you're walking along the side walk on a crisp day (or any kind of day for that matter) and you catch a whiff of fresh laundry smell from the vent of someone's house? That's my favourite. It has the power to flip my mood from awful to fantastic in T minus 0.0000001 seconds.

Best TV

I've really been getting into TV lately. I watch a lot of it and laugh, feel nervous, or cry. I like doing those things a lot. These are shows that make me do that.

Funny stuff:

1. I can't get over how funny "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" is. If you can handle the most offensive material ever broadcasted on TV, then you should watch this. It offends everyone, therefore, it offends no one. That's how math works, right? Below is one of my favourite clips. It's not offensive. Just hilarious.

2. Ron Swanson on "Parks & Rec" is one of the greatest characters in funny TV land. He likes food, woodworking, and giving disapproving looks. Two thirds of those I can really get behind.

Serious stuff:

1. I have been doing some serious TV marathoning lately. Get home from work, put on sweatpants, put on a show, make dinner, and watch the show until it's time for bed. This isn't a daily thing, but it has been happening more often than usual as of late. The first show of marathoning value is "Friday Night Lights." It is the greatest drama ever made. Small town Texas, the High School football team, the coach, his family, and all the people that fill the bleachers. IT IS INCREDIBLE. I cannot say this with any more love in my heart. Maybe a few spoilers, but nothing that you won't forget about by the time you get to it.

2. My next marathoner is a lawyer drama. Sounds played out and boring, right? Wrong. "Damages" is great. Glenn Close is the head lawyer of the firm. Rose Byrne is the new graduate and recent hire. I don't even feel like I can say anything as any little tidbit could ruin a big moment for a first time viewer. If you like it when things are tense and crazy and you don't know what's going on for a very long time, then you should watch this show. I may have found a video that contains no spoilers but shows the trickery of Patty Hewes (Close).

I love TV. I love smart stuff, heart-warming stuff, sad stuff, tense stuff, and funny stuff. Trust me on these ones, guys.

With Christmas on the brain, my mini buddy Cooper is the object of all of my shopping daydreams. He's the best and I want to get him the best gift. Here are some of my ideas:

These masks from this Etsy store are perfect. It can hang on his wall as decoration until he's old enough to wear it, and then it is game on for goofing off in.

You have got to be kidding me with these baby boy sweaters. Elbow patches? Really? Get real. These are both from The Gap and they both rule.

I've been on a hunt for an incredible piggy bank for the little man but it appears they do not exist. Does anyone have any leads on really cute piggy banks that aren't in the shape of a pig? Fill me in!

Boots I desire vs. boots that are practical

Ok, all I want in my life is an incredible pair of boots. Expensive, perfect, soft leather that doesn't look like the boots came from le chateau after 2 weeks of wear. But, I'm not a thousandaire, nor do I live in a place that is gentle on footwear. So, the first two are boots I'd love to hold close (I have a HUGE soft spot for John Varvatos right now) and the last two are realistic boots that would actually keep my feet warm.
